Fishing Updates
August 2, 2009

Near perfect weather again!  Wednesday and Thursday morning we saw a bit of wind that made the water hard to travel in, other than that we saw calm water.  There are some major forest fires burning and as a result we experienced very low visibility due to smoke and haze.

Biggest halibut for the week was 137.  The halibut fishing is not as hot as it was a few weeks ago, but it is still pretty good.  Double Anchor, Mary’s Flat, and Crowded seemed to be the good areas to fish.  Pink salmon have moved into the streams.  Silvers were very hard to find this week.
