Fishing
Updates
July 13-18
Guy and Diana returned to the dock this week after having thought about the "two that got away" during their last fishing trip at Doc Warner's. Guy told one of the Chaseboat fellas, "We've thought about and talked about those two fish many times in the past two years!".
On the first day of fishing, our Chaseboat Mark motored-up to the Morgan's to find Guy red-faced and struggling at the handle of his halibut rod. He had a big fish on the line and Diana asked for help. With "permission to board", Chaseboat quickly boarded and prepared the couple for the landing. Diana stood poised with the tail-rope as the Chaseboat guy readied the shark hook. After some a long wait of reeling, playing the line and anxious splashing, the trio had managed to secure the big fish to the boat cleats. They celebrated as the 92-pounder hung like a hammock in the water, outside the boat.
The next day, Guy and Diana hung another large slab all on their own. At the end of the week, Diana confessed that neither of the fish that "got away" two years ago, were even "close" to the size of these two catches of this week.
Guy and Diana were not the only ones this week to have good luck. The guests averaged 6 halibut and 7 salmon, per angler.
