Fishing Updates
June 1-7

This past week was a bit windy and we had several days of rain.  Halibut fishing was fairly slow.  The fishing reports on the Alaska Fish and Game website are reporting 3 rod hours in Gustavus for Kings, and Juneau is still around 50 hours per King.  The guests had some special experiences with bears and humpback whales.  One black bear up the inlet sat in front of them on the beach for over 30 minutes and posed for photos.  Charlie our breakfast cook caught a 67 lb halibut on Saturday; We are hoping this coming week things improve.  Saturday morning we had snow at about the 2000 foot level, pretty late to have snow on the mountain peaks.
