Construction continues on target even though the weather has been less than ideal. The Trading Post expansion is awaiting placement of the floor tiles. Otherwise it is ready to be stocked in preparation for our first guests.
The new 10-plex, Adolphus, is moving along too. The first floor walls are up, along with the floor and walls of the second storey. This week will see the trusses and metal roof installed. After that, all work will be inside.
The greenhouse is up and several trays have been planted. Regardless of the cold and rain outside, there is sufficient solar heat to cause quick germination. There will be fresh salads and other vegetables this summer!
The remainder of the dock expansion material is due to arrive this week and be installed. The "new look" dock will be about twice the size of the previous one; will make it easier for the catamaran to load/unload passengers; and will provide protected mooring for our expanding fleet of boats.
More supplies arrive, almost daily. We should receive the remainder of the building materials and the food supplies this week. The electrician is onsite and the plumber and tile setter are due any day. All-in-all, this should be a very busy week.
