Fishing
Update
September 4 - 10, 2011
I don't think one could ask for a better ending to a season. On Friday of the week Gil brought in a 125 pound halibut. The weather was perfect after blowing hard for the first four days of the week. Guests were regularly turning back jack kings...next spring's fish. The silvers remained strong right up until the end too. And to top things off, the northern lights came out and put on a great show Friday night as well. In some ways it was Alaska saying her goodbyes for the season.
We were very blessed this season with exceptional fishing. We were able to close up camp by Monday and now begins the process of reviewing and begining the preparations for next year. Part of next years improvements are already underway as we install more private bathrooms in the cabins and offer more activities so Doc's can be your base camp for your next Alaskan adventure.
I want to thank each of you who came and made Doc Warner's your memory this
year. Thank you for letting me be a part of your lives.
Mark
